Donations from companies to the WRSF exceeded RMB 70 million

China Medical and Health Care Development Foundation, Yin Sheng Technology Services Group Limited and other caring enterprises donated a total of more than 78.02 million yuan to the WRSF.

After the donation ceremony, the fourth plenary session of the fifth council of the WRSF was held. Mo Wenxiu chaired the meeting and delivered a speech, and Zhang Rujie, Vice President and Secretary General, delivered the "Report on the Work Summary of the Western Returned Scholars Foundationin 2021 and Work Plan in 2022" .Li Haiju, Executive Deputy Secretary General, made the "2021 Annual Financial Report of the Western Returned Scholars Foundation". The meeting also elected to appoint Li Jun and Sun Shangchuan as Vice-Presidents, Li Haiju and Liang Wenmei as Directors and Li Haiju as Secretary General.

The council pointed out that the fourth meeting of the 5th Council of the WRSF is a regular working meeting held during the critical period when the WRSF has fully completed the rectification, entered the national qualified ranks and won the registration assessment of the foundation.The theme of the meeting is to build confidence, seek progress in a stable manner, promote the high-quality development of the foundation, summarize the work in 2021 and arrange the work in 2022.

The council pointed out that facing the complex situation and difficult tasks in the past year, the WRSF has comprehensively seized the opportunity of the world's critical changes and the overall situation of the strategy for the great rejuvenation of China, taken the "Year of Infrastructure Construction" as its grasp, taken political leadership as its basic guideline, and met the criteria of the WRSF's grade assessment, vigorously tackled the challenges of a thin base, many problems and difficulties in fund-raising, resisted risks, overcome resistance and resolved conflicts, and made a lot of hard work.

The report shows the major achievements over the past year. Firstly, the party building has led to team building and cohesion. Fourth, the social image and credibility continue to improve, to establish a new image of a new WRSF. Fifth, the main problems which exist, one is the poor foundation. The year 2022 is designated as the "Year of Stabilization and Integration" of the WRSF, and the main work points are: First, to strengthen internal management. Second, to strengthen brand building. In the three key project areas of talent, health and education, we will focus on cultivating brand projects. Explore innovative funding methods such as social enterprises and public trusts, innovate the supply of public services, explore solutions to fund-raising bottlenecks, and strive for breakthroughs. Third, strengthen team building. Step up efforts to promote the implementation of job responsibilities, set rewards and punishments by performance, and fully release the creativity, action and combat power of the team. Fourth, enhance influence and credibility. Make information disclosure the lifeline of the institution, tell the charity story, and continuously enhance the reputation of the institution, so that the good voice of charity can be spread more widely, more widely and more deeply.

The meeting called for strengthening the political leadership, concentrating on serving the overall situation and creating a new bureau. With business expansion as the core focus, the role of the director and the development of the director unit. The secretariat team should be "practical" and promote the leapfrogging and high-quality development of the foundation. We should plan ahead to pass the grade assessment, study the fundraising means of the foundation, explore the foundation + social enterprises, foundation + social organisations, foundation + integrated media, play the role of public welfare leverage, toaccomplish a great task with little effort by clever maneuvers. 

To make the scale of funds raised bigger, to make the effect of serving the needs of the people bigger, and to make the pool of public welfare funds bigger. We must plan brand promotion at a high level, expand the social influence of the WRSF, and attract more public-spirited people to join our public welfare initiatives.We must strengthen our management system, continuously improve our management system, introduce social monitoring mechanisms, innovate our monitoring model and improve the effectiveness of our monitoring. We should further strengthen the in-depth study of the work of the foundation, use new technologies, new methods and new ideas, follow the trend, take advantage of the trend and ride on it to achieve leapfrogging and high-quality development of the foundation.
