Kan Yingying, deputy director of Jiaxing South Lake Revolutionary Memorial Hall, gave a lecture about "Spirit of the Red Boat" - the life path of the delegates of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the ideals and beliefs of the Party to the Party Branch of WRSF through video, describing the extraordinary life experiences of the thirteen delegates from four aspects: the emergence of the thirteen delegates of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the common starting point of the thirteen delegates, the different endings of the thirteen delegates, and the reasons for their common starting point and different endings as well as the enlightenment they could bring.

Kan Yingying pointed out that the delegates of the First National Congress had a common starting point of being outstanding intellectuals who had learned from China and Western, who had accepted new ideas, and who were revolutionary new blood with ideals and pursuits. She cites Chen Tanqiu, He Shuheng, Wang Zuimei and Deng Enming as examples, pointing out that firm beliefs and indomitable spirit are the key to achieving greatness, while firm beliefs but unable to withstand setbacks can never lead to greatness.

After the keynote lecture, all members of WRSF shared their learning experiences with each other.

Mo Wenxiu, chair of the board of WRSF stressed that the series of activities organized by the Party branch of the foundation is a way of implementing the spirit of Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee general secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the key meeting to launch a campaign on Party history learning and education among all Party members. The history of CPC is one of the most epic chapters in modern Chinese history, and it is only by understanding this history that we can set sail for new victories in the future towards our set goals.

Mo Wenxiu said, "We must remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly of CPC in mind, do everything for the people, all rely on the people, always put the people in the highest position in the heart, for the welfare of the people. It is very important to carry out Party history study and education for the Party building work of the WRSF, and using the successful experience of the Party to guide the direction of work will help WRSF grow bigger and stronger." 

Mo Wenxiu stressed that it is necessary to raise awareness of the importance of the Party's history learning and education activities, to study in stages, to pay attention to methods, and to put into practice the knowledge and spirit learned to promote the healthy development and leap-forward development of WRSF.

Zhang Rujie, vice chair of the board of WRSF stressed that since the 18th congress, the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core bears great political courage and mission, proposes a series of new strategy, new concepts, new ideas, including the goal of “Two One Hundred Years”, “the Chinese Dream", " "five-in-one" general layout and "four comprehensive" layout strategy. Grasping the new normal of China's economic development and firmly establishing the five development concepts. 

He said that the revolutionary ideal is above everything else. Facing the new situation and tasks today, to practice the "Red Boat Spirit" and fulfill the requirements of the "four requirements", we must always follow the principles of patriotism, innovation, struggle and dedication. The century-old history of the CPC demonstrates its tenacity and vitality. He encouraged the CPC members present to stay true to their original aspiration and forge ahead. "Today's Party history study education activity is thought-provoking, and in the future I will further combine the ideas and experiences learnt from Party history with practicality.”He said.

Li Jun, assistant to the chair and Party branch secretary of WFSF hosted the lecture. "The history of the CPC is our rich spiritual resources and precious wealth. Studying the history of the CPC could help us determine the direction for the Party and the country to move forward. Inheriting the Party's fine traditions and work style can also make us more confident in overcoming difficulties in the future work." Li Jun points out after listening to the lecture. At the same time, Li Jun believed that studying the history of the Party can be a way to promote "virtue", which is not simply moral but enriches the whole spiritual world of a person. It is this fearless revolutionary spirit that has ushered in a new era for China.

Li Haiju, executive deputy secretary general of WRSF said that General Secretary Xi Jinping stresses the need to "draw wisdom from deep thinking about history and move towards the future". After listening to the lecture about "Spirit of the Red Boat", Li Haiju was both deeply moved and educated, as every piece of the Party's history is a vivid teaching material for ideals and beliefs. As a Communist Party member with more than 20 years of experience, every Party member must remember and inherit the spirit of the old generation of Communists who were pioneer epoch-making, and remember the revolutionary forefathers who sacrificed their lives for the people's independence and liberation, and use the "Red Boat Spirit" to inspire and motivate our determination and confidence to face up to problems and solve them.

Liang Wenmei, deputy secretary general of WRSF, said that looking back at the Party's struggle is the way to forge ahead. First, we should learn from communists to be broad-minded, to be mindful of the affairs of the country and of the world, and not to be bogged down in our own affairs and those of the present. Second, we should learn to be firm in our faith and beliefs, firmly believe in a bright future for WRSF. The third is to learn the indomitable spirit. It is not only the choice of history, the choice of the organization, but also the choice of myself to come to WRSF. We will continue to carry forward the "the spirit of the ox", indomitable and make efforts to create new brilliance.

After listening to the lecture, young members of WRSF expressed their feelings about the Party history study and education. They have gained a lot from the Party history study and were impressed by the dedication of the young delegates. They would like to learn from the revolutionary spirit of the young delegates of the First National Congress and "give their lives" in their work to contribute more young strength to the development of the motherland.
