Shenzhen, Guangdong province-based genomic sequencing company BGI Genomics supported a public welfare colorectal cancer screening project in Beijing, in an effort to deliver advanced screening technology to communities.

The Western Returned Scholars Foundation, a national public foundation based in Beijing, together with the local government of Jingzhou Miao and Dong autonomous county in Hunan province, launched a free cancer screening activity to promote disease prevention and early diagnosis in the local area.

The Western Returned Scholars Foundation (WRSF), a national public foundation headquartered in Beijing, organized a donation ceremony in the capital city to join efforts by society to contribute to charity.

The screening was effective in increasing the rate of early diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer and breast cancer among women in Chicheng, thereby preventing disease and poverty and promoting rural revitalisation.

Since the beginning of September, in order to enable the grassroots rural women in Chicheng to better accept thisscreening project, the project working group, with the support of Chicheng County People's Hospital, drove a mobile screening vehicle with mobile screening equipment to go deep into the towns and villages for screening and testing, and has provided door-to-door cervical cancer and breast cancer public welfare screening services for nearly 3,000 rural women, truly let the screenings reach the last mile in the countryside and sincerely serving every woman of the right age.

In early July 2021, Weihui City in Henan Province suffered two extreme rainfall events, with a cumulative rainfall of 903.3 mm, which affected nearly 300,000 people.

Since the launch of the project "Preventing diseases and poverty, and promoting rural revitalization" by the Western Returned Scholars Foundation (WRSF) and the Chicheng County Government on July 26, it has attracted a total of nearly 5,000 women from Chicheng. Since the launch of the project, nearly 5,000 women of the appropriate age (30-64 years old) have enrolled in the programme.

In order to help achieve the goal of Healthy China Action (2019-2030) , on July 26, the "Two preventions and one promotion" public welfare screening project for women to preventin Chicheng County was officially launched, which was co-sponsored by Western Returned Scholars Foundation (WRSF) and the county government of Chicheng County, Hebei Province.

In order to celebrate the centennial of the CPC, on June 28th, the foundation held a series of party history learning and education activities “Remember the striving history, follow the Party all one's life” Party class.

On June 9, the Party History Learning and Education Series of the Party Branch of Western Returned Scholars Foundation (WRSF) came to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street in Beijing, where the group visited the "100 Years of People - A Great Exhibition of Images of Chinese People's Lives (1921-2021)", which carries the memories of the Chinese people's lives for a century.
